Galfar, Kuwait owns a sizeable number of vehicles, plant and equipments which are currently required for projects and are added on every time a new project is awarded.  We also induct new vehicles and machines on aging of vehicle and on reduction of productivity due to wear and tear.  We have well equipped Centralized workshops at two places in Kuwait at Amghara Industrial Area and Min-Abdullah and also maintain workshops at project sites.    All major works from accident repairs to regular maintenance are done in our workshop by our expert technicians.    
 
Current fleet size is about 400 units and the detailed list is given below: Plant & Equipment has set its own target to keep a minimum 90% of availability of vehicle and equipments at all times with zero hiring from outside.   Optimum utilization under safe working condition is always maintained.  

Earth Movers: 

Galfar has the expertise to mass earthwork, excavation, filling, grading, leveling, paving, etc. for infrastructure / land development, roads and bridges, culverts, water and sewage lines, etc.  Our recently concluded project of 2014 of Sabah Al Ahmed City Housing Project had 4,000,000 M3 earthworks.   We have an expert team of Engineers, Designers, Surveyors and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who can take up any challenge of massive earth work.  

 
Asphalt Layers:
 
As Galfar has own Asphalt Plants (5 Nos.), we have a big team of asphalt layers and Operators for paving, leveling, etc.  In addition to our projects we also supply asphalt to other companies along with asphalt laying job.   Our recent project which is nearing completion is Boubyan Seaport Project Phase 1 - Stage 1 Road, Bridge and Soil Treatment Works, is a EPC project, include 30.30km 2-way 6-lane road.    Asphalt crew is with us for more than 20 years and well experienced in carrying out various asphalting work in almost all the areas in Kuwait.    

Lifting & Transport Vehicles: 

We are having enough vehicles for transportation of materials, equipments and manpower.  Trailers both low bed and high bed for transportation of equipments and heavy materials and dump trucks and trailers for carrying sand, asphalt, etc. and a good number of concrete mixer trucks for transportation of ready mix concrete.     Our huge workshop facilities ensure maintenance and repairs of all vehicles and achieve the target of 90% availability of vehicles and equipments. 

Ready Mix Plant & Equipments: 

There are three Concrete Plants for wet and dry mixing which are running efficiently and supplying concrete for our projects and also sell outside.   Total production capacity is 360 m3 per hour and Plants are located in Amgarah and Mina Abdullah.   39 Concrete Mix trucks and 5 Concrete pumps are always busy in supplying the concrete all over Kuwait.

Asphalt Plant & Equipment: 

There are 4 Asphalt Plants having a total production capacity of 600 Tons per hour.   Plants are located at Amghara and Mina Abdullah.   One of the Plants can produce coloured asphalt which is a rare facility in the State of Kuwait.   Another Plant can also produce recycled asphalt.
